According to the latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to October, the total profits of industrial enterprises above the national scale reached 5015.1 billion billion yuan, down 2.9 percent from the same period last year. Among them, the mining industry realized a total profit of 472.13 billion billion yuan, up 2.4 year on year.
According to the data, in terms of profits in the mining industry, from January to October, the total profit of coal mining and washing industry was 241.85 billion yuan, up -2.1% year on year; the total profit of oil and natural gas mining industry was 156.79 billion yuan, up 3.4% year on year; the total profit of ferrous metal mining and dressing industry was 20.61 billion yuan, up 189.5% year on year; the total profit of non-ferrous metal mining and dressing industry was 25.81 billion yuan, year-on-year growth of 19.8 percent.
The data also show that from January to October, the mining industry's operating income was 3765.51 billion yuan, up 4.4 percent year on year. The operating income margin of the mining industry is 12.54, and the asset-liability ratio is 59.2.
