The design scale of Donggou molybdenum mining project is 20000 tons/day, and the final product scheme is molybdenum concentrate and iron concentrate.
In terms of mining technology, according to the overall resource situation of Donggou molybdenum mine, China Enfei finally determined the principle of open-pit phased mining through systematic research and analysis, and gradually implemented mining and resource recovery. Liu Yuming, deputy chief engineer of Enfei, China, said that phased mining can better combine the deposit conditions and site topography as well as the use of dump, which can greatly reduce the initial investment.
Through a large number of scheme comparison and selection work in this project, it is finally determined that the ore will be transported by automobile with semi-mobile crushing belt. This method greatly shortens the process, reduces the distance of automobile transportation, reduces operating costs, and improves labor efficiency; at the same time, it realizes the independence of the concentrator and the mining field, and the two sides do not interfere with each other, effectively improving the operating environment.
In terms of crushing and grinding process, through a large number of preliminary experimental studies and scheme comparison and selection work, they finally chose the SABC process of "semi-self-grinding ball grinding and crushing of stubborn stones", which has simple process, convenient operation and strong adaptability to ore. The semi-autogenous mill they selected adopts a "double-drive frequency conversion" adjustment device, which ensures the adaptability of SABC process to ore fluctuations, and can adjust the speed in real time according to the ore supply, so as to save energy and reduce consumption to the greatest extent.
According to the multi-element analysis of the geological report, the main minerals that can be recovered in this project are sulfide and magnetite. For these two minerals, China Enfei design team has carried out detailed small-scale experimental research and semi-industrial experimental research, and combined with the company's years of practical experience in the production of molybdenum sulfide and magnetite, has determined the advanced separation process and suitable equipment: molybdenum recovery adopts the process of "rough grinding and rough separation, rough concentrate three times and then five times of selection"; Iron recovery adopts "rough separation of molybdenum tailings, rough concentrate two re-grinding multiple selection" process. In terms of equipment selection, SMD is used as the 2. three-stage scrubbing and regrinding equipment. VTM300 vertical mill with high efficiency and energy saving is selected as regrinding equipment for molybdenum recovery. Iron recovery adopts the combined equipment of bare magnetic machine ball mill regrinding magnetic separator column magnetic separator to realize coarse selection and discard a large amount of gangue minerals and reduce the amount of iron regrinding.
With the adoption of advanced technology and equipment, the project finally achieved a molybdenum concentrate grade of 57%, a recovery rate of 87.5, a magnetic iron grade of 64%, and a magnetic iron recovery rate of 76%, reaching the industry-leading level.

In terms of building smart mines, Donggou Molybdenum Mine has achieved overall informatization and networking. Through the information monitoring system, real-time monitoring of all production and living facilities including Shizhugou Reservoir, mining site, dump, concentrator, office building, and dormitory is carried out.

The overall layout of Donggou Molybdenum Mine is reasonable and the process is smooth. The mine water supply reservoir is located in the upper reaches of the river in the mining area, which meets the self-flow of water supply and reduces the cost of water delivery. The ore from the mining area and the concentrator is connected by the tunnel belt conveyor, which can reduce the operating cost and realize the independent separation of the site and reduce mutual interference; the site of Quanshuangou tailings pond is located in the downstream direction of the river, and the site elevation is relatively low, which reduces the height difference of tailings transportation and saves the transportation cost; the concentrator makes full use of the terrain to form different steps to realize the artesian flow of main ore slurry and the artesian flow of chemical addition; the tailings slurry transportation pipeline makes full use of the terrain and is arranged along the diagonal river, which reduces the land acquisition area and line fluctuation, which is convenient for future production, maintenance and management.
The calculation of the main indicators of green mines shows that the green coverage rate of the mining area is 100, the land reclamation rate of the mining area is 90, the mining recovery rate of mineral resources is 96.07, the recovery rate of mineral processing is 87.94, the comprehensive utilization rate of resources is 70.58, and the utilization rate of wastewater is 100.
