It is understood that Vale is expected to invest a total of US $0.495 billion million in the project. These funds will be used for the Kapanema mining area, including the reactivation of mining facilities and the purchase of new equipment, the installation of long-distance conveyor belts (TCLD) and the adjustment of the storage yard in Timbo Peba mining area.

The start of the Panema project construction project marks another important step forward for Vale in increasing its buffer capacity, which will ensure greater operational flexibility for Vale with lower capital intensity.
