Just 90 days before the August 26 delivery, Zijin Mining's Guyana Jintian recently achieved a full resumption of production. Zijin Mining gold plate after the completion and commissioning of the Wulitika gold mine, once again ran out of the "Zijin speed".
Vickram Bharrat, Minister of Natural Resources of Guyana, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the resumption of production of the concentrator and delivered a speech. He said that Zijin Mining Guyana Jintian project team has high efficiency and strong professional skills. The project achieved a full resumption of work in just three months and recruited more than 400 local employees. This fully shows that Zijin Mining is a global and responsible large-scale multinational mining company. The local area is full of expectations for the development of the project and will pay long-term attention and support.
Guyana Jintian has real production capacity, but before Zijin Mining entered, the mine had been shut down for several months, the production department had laid off a lot of staff, and the equipment was lack of maintenance, frequent failures and basically idle. With the completion of the delivery, Zijin Guyana team, after multi-party coordination, resumed the trial run with materials and 70% of the mining capacity of the mining site in early November. The Guyanese project management team is mainly post-80s and post-90s. The project adheres to localized operation. At present, the total number of employees exceeds 660, 90% of whom are Guyanese.
The Guyana Gold Field and the Colombian Vuritika gold mine are located in the same northern South America, with synergistic effects, both of which are put into production in the same year of delivery. Guyana Jintian is a high-grade large-scale gold mine, with a proven controlled gold resource of 118.69 tons, an average grade of 3.15g/ton, and an inferred gold resource of 59.13 tons, an average grade of 2.28g/ton. The concentrator has formed a processing capacity of 7500 tons/day, with an annual average gold yield of more than 4 tons.
