Huixian municipal government adheres to the concept of green development and resolutely shut down all quarrying enterprises in the Wulongshan mining area. According to reports, the "Sanyuan Line Historic Mine Environment Restoration and Treatment Area" has invested a total of about 0.2 billion yuan, with a completed treatment area of 902 mu and planting about 60000 trees of various types. After completion, 660 mu of arable land and woodland can be restored to form an ecological garden. The city's largest driver training center covering an area of 380 mu has been built in the Gongshan governance area on the original south side of the Sanyuan Line, it has set a model for the transformation of abandoned mines into cultivated land, woodland and construction land through scientific management.
Up to now, Huixian City has invested nearly 0.5 billion yuan in the management of mines left over from history, covering an area of about 5800 mu. The licensed mines have invested a total of 0.16 billion yuan, planted about 56000 trees and managed an area of 2312 mu. Two licensed mines have successfully established national green mines.
