The major scientific and technological innovation project in Shandong Province undertaken by Zhaojin Mining Co., Ltd. (Zhaojin Mining) "Metallogenic Theory, Prospecting Methods and Metallogenic Prediction of Deep Gold Deposits in the Middle Section of Zhaoping Fault Zone" has recently successfully passed the comprehensive performance evaluation and final acceptance organized by Shandong Science and Technology Department, and the comprehensive performance evaluation is excellent.

The project "Metallogenic Theory, Prospecting Methods and Metallogenic Prediction of Deep Gold Deposits in the Middle Section of Zhaoping Fault Zone" is a major scientific and technological innovation project in Shandong Province undertaken by Zhaojin Mining and completed by Shandong Institute of Geological Sciences, Central South University and the Company's Technology Center. The project summarizes the regional metallogenic geological conditions and the geological characteristics of the Zhaoping fault zone, constructs a geophysical exploration model, optimizes the combination of effective methods for deep gold exploration, systematically puts forward the theoretical system of mineralization of Jiaodong gold deposit, establishes a three-dimensional visualization model of the middle section of the Zhaoping fault zone, and makes quantitative prediction of gold deposit positioning. Through the four-in-one, extrusion-extension gold mineralization theory system proposed by the project, the best combination of geophysical methods for prospecting is optimized, and the deep prospecting target area is delineated. It has the characteristics of three-dimensional, positioning, quantification and visualization, which effectively guides the prospecting and exploration of deep gold mines, greatly reduces the cost of prospecting and exploration, and has significant potential economic benefits.
After listening to the project performance evaluation and the report of the main results obtained, and conducting data inspection, inquiry and discussion, the evaluation expert group spoke highly of the innovative results obtained by the project and unanimously agreed to pass the acceptance.□(Dong Lijie, Wang Du Tao)
