In the 1970 s, with the acceleration of the construction of WISCO, WISCO put forward new requirements for the product structure of Wulongquan Mining Company. As a result, after nearly a year of construction, the miners built two slaked lime shaft kilns on the east side of the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, which ranked first in terms of production scale and output in Asia at that time, with an annual output of 506900 tons of ash removal and 300000 tons of metallurgical ash, meeting the needs of smelting in WISCO. In this way, the products produced by Wulongquan Mining Company have also developed from a single limestone and dolomite production in the past to a certain scientific and technological content of ash and metallurgical ash.
In the 1980 s, the spring breeze of the market economy began to blow into the ten-mile mine. Urumqi miners are also keenly aware that it is not feasible to eat ore rice alone. They must develop, produce and process products with certain high added value according to their own advantages and natural resources. Through market research and visiting users, Wulongquan Mining Company has developed a series of products such as white powder, light burning and small block bricks using ore as raw materials for production, which have been well received by users.
In the 1990 s, Wulongquan Mining Company made comprehensive use of 0.5-10mm powder ore from the sieve waste in the limestone production process to produce "WISCO brand" Portland cement, realizing the goal of "changing from one mine to two mines.
On September 18, 2003, the first phase of the active ash project of Wulongquan Mining, with an annual output of 180000 tons of active ash, was completed and put into production, marking a major change in the historical pattern of people in Wulongquan Mining who simply eat ore. In that year, Wulongquan Mining turned a profit of 5 million yuan.

At the same time, the company has built two mud-water separation systems at the back end of the beneficiation mud-water concentration pool process, realizing the return of the separated and purified water to the beneficiation process for recycling, with a cumulative effect of several million yuan.
Green production and operation. According to the standard of "higher than the standard, better than the urban area, and integrated into the city", the company actively carries out the "three governance and four modernizations" activities to treat wastewater, smoke and dust, solid waste, and carry out comprehensive environmental management in mine production areas. integrate the construction of ecological civilization into the whole process of production, operation and management, and build new urban mines. This year, the company optimizes the layout of production lines and plans to build a production line with an annual output of double 4 million tons of ore processing and comprehensive utilization of resources in the stope, which integrates green mining development and clean, large-scale and intelligent new building materials. The production line is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of the year. After the completion of the new production line, it can fully meet the environmental protection requirements of ecological mines, and at the same time realize the organic unity of economic benefits, environmental benefits and social benefits.
Green ecological harmony. In combination with the characteristics and reality of the mine and in line with the principle of "science, rationality and practicality", the company has strengthened the greening and reclamation of barren hills. In the past few years, it has successively afforested and reclaimed Dingzishan garbage dump, 79 north rock stripping dump and other places, covering an area of 1105 mu, and has built 15000 square meters of flower bed scenic spots, 410000 trees of various types, 8200 meters of hedgerows and 9600 square meters of turf, the environmental management of the Dahongshan tailings pond, 43-meter and 67-meter dump sites has also been completed to a high standard. The former barren mountain waste stone yard was dressed in green clothes and became a beautiful scenery in the mining area.
