Drill tail

Drill tail (English shank adapters) is also known as hydraulic drill drill drill tail, pneumatic drill drill drill tail. The drill tail is an important part of the rock drill and an important part of the drill set. During the rock drilling operation, the rock drill transmits the impact work and rotating torque of the rock drill to the drilling tool group through the drill tail, and the rock drilling operation is completed by crushing the rock through the drill head. The drill tail not only bears the high-frequency impact and strong torsion of the rock drill, but also suffers from the corrosion and wear of the mineral water slag in the environment. The service environment of the drill tail is extremely harsh, so the quality and performance requirements of the drill tail are very strict.

Production process of drill tail: raw material incoming inspection-blanking-forging-annealing-machining (rough machining of drill tail shape, turning thread, milling spline, drilling hole, milling side nozzle)-heat treatment (carburizing, quenching, tempering)-shot blasting-precise straightening-grinding-surface treatment, anti-corrosion-testing-packaging-warehousing.

Classification of drill tail: drill tail can be divided into hydraulic drill drill tail and pneumatic drill tail according to different supporting equipment. Hydraulic drill tail has wider application and higher quality requirements. According to the different application environment of the drill tail, it can be divided into open-pit drilling rig supporting the drill tail, underground drilling platform supporting the drill tail, the underground working environment is more complex, especially the erosion of mineral water slag, the requirements of the drill tail are higher. According to the thread form of the drill tail, it can be divided into male thread drill tail and female thread drill tail, and the male thread drill tail is more widely used.

Thread form of drill tail: commonly used hydraulic drill with R thread and medium impact power, hydraulic drill with T thread and rock drill, ST68.T60.EL60.EL68 applies rock drill with large impact power, domestic R32.R38.T38.T45.T51 thread drill tail, ST58.ST68.T60.EL60.EL68 hydraulic drill tail is currently used abroad.

Application of the drill tail: The drill tail is an important part of the rock drill and an important part of the drill group. The drill tail cannot be used independently and needs to be applied to rock drilling equipment. Rock drilling equipment is generally used in underground mine roadway excavation, anchor rock drilling, medium-depth hole mining, open pit mining rock drilling, tunnel excavation rock drilling, hydropower engineering rock drilling operations, quarrying rock drilling and other rock drilling operations.

Matching and selection of drill tails: there are more than 200 types of hydraulic rock drill products produced by enterprises such as Ampere, Sandvik, Montebet, Guhe in Japan, Dofu in Finland, etc. In addition, with the continuous modification of products, there should be more than 400-500 types of drill tails. To select the drill tail, the part number of the drill tail of the foreign rock drill should be clearly defined first, and the drill tail model should be accurately determined through the drill model, thread form, drill tail length and spline size.
