In 2011, Tongguan County was defined by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Land and Resources, and the Ministry of Finance as the third batch of resource-exhausted city transformation pilots. Tongguan County has successively introduced ecological environment management plans, making green a vivid background for transformation and development.
